For almost a decade, KOWR has helped Polish food companies enter the Vietnamese market. From 6 to 8 August 2026, the National Support Centre for Agriculture exhibited alongside Polish businesses for the ninth time at Vietfood & Beverage in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the leading food industry trade fairs in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
The Polish national stand returns to Vietfood & Beverage
KOWR has organised the Polish national stand at Vietfood & Beverage in Ho Chi Minh City since 2016. At this year’s edition, 15 companies exhibited under the “Poland tastes good” banner. Polish producers and exporters introduced prospective Vietnamese partners to a range of products: turkey and chicken meat and preparations; kabanos sausages and frankfurters; dairy products; freeze-dried fruit; food supplements; juices and other organic products; cereal cakes; savoury snacks; biscuits, Polish milk fudge and other confectionery; nut spreads; and ready meals.
Throughout the three-day fair, Polish food and cuisine were also promoted at the stand through cooking demonstrations led by Polish chefs.
The stand was officially opened on 6 August by Henryk Smolarz, Director General of KOWR; Joanna Skoczek, Chargée d’Affaires at the Polish Embassy in Vietnam; Paweł Meyer, Chief Veterinary Officer; Piotr Harasimowicz, Head of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Ho Chi Minh City; and Piotr Wojtysiak, Deputy Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship.
The pre-fair trade mission programme
As in previous years, KOWR arranged an additional programme on the day before the fair, giving companies an opportunity to explore the product ranges available in local retail chains. On 5 August 2026, the businesses visited three local chains stocking imported products – Winmart, Tops Market and MM Mega Market – and met their representatives.
The visits were organised in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency’s Foreign Trade Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
A strong Polish presence at Vietfood & Beverage 2026
In addition to the “Poland tastes good” national stand organised by KOWR, Polish producers and food products were promoted at the stand of the Marshal’s Office of the Łódź Voivodeship as part of the “Destination Asia” project.
Industry organisations also promoted food in the Vietnamese market at stands organised under programmes supported by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) scheme for information and promotion measures for selected agricultural products:
- “Taste of Europe”: a three-year programme run by the Association of Butchers and Meat Processors of the Republic of Poland in a consortium with the National Union of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Groups. Running from 2024 to 2026 in Japan, Singapore and Vietnam, it promotes pork, beef, apples and apple products;
- “A Drop of Excellence. High-Quality European Milk and Dairy Products”: a three-year programme run by the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Farmers in South Korea and Vietnam since April 2025, promoting milk and dairy products, including cheese.
Vietfood & Beverage
Now in its 30th edition, Vietfood & Beverage in Ho Chi Minh City is one of Vietnam’s largest food industry trade fairs. Propack Vietnam runs alongside the food and beverage fair, attracting companies specialising in processing and packaging, as well as suppliers of equipment and technology for food production and storage.
Last year, the organisers recorded 1,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and 11 national pavilions. As in this year’s edition, the Polish national stand was among the largest and most prominent.
Polish agri-food exports to Vietnam
Among the member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Vietnam is a key partner for Poland in agri-food trade. It is a promising export market for Polish food, as the trade figures also demonstrate.
Polish agri-food exports to Vietnam reached EUR 230 million in 2025, compared with EUR 193 million in 2024, with potential for further growth.
Products of animal origin currently dominate Polish exports to Vietnam:
- natural casings: 23%;
- dairy products: 17%;
- poultry meat and offal: 16%;
- fish and fish products: 13%;
- meat, offal and meat preparations, excluding poultry: 13%;
- animal fats: 5%.
