KOWR attends the SIAM trade fair in Morocco for the first time

From 20 to 26 April 2026, KOWR has organised a national stand at the SIAM International Agricultural Fair in Morocco, taking place in Meknes, for the first time. SIAM (Salon International de l’Agriculture au Maroc) is the largest agricultural and food sector fair in Morocco and also the largest event of its kind held in Africa.

In 2025, the SIAM fair attracted over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 70 countries and was visited by over a million people. This year’s 18th edition of the SIAM trade fair was held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, and its theme is “Sustainable livestock production and food sovereignty”.

Eight businesses from the agricultural and food sector were promoted at the national stand. Polish exhibitors were presenting the following products to potential business partners from Morocco and other countries in the region: dairy products (cheese, milk powder), poultry (turkey and chicken) and chicken products, beef and beef products, egg products, cereal products (groats, cereals, rice, gluten-free products), seed potatoes, convenience products and functional drinks.

The Polish stand was officially opened on 20 April. Stefan Krajewski – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tomasz Orłowski – Chargé d’Affaires at the Polish Embassy in Morocco, Henryk Smolarz – Director General of the National Centre for Agricultural Support, Wojciech Legawiec – President of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and Paweł Meyer – Chief Veterinary Officer. The Polish stand was also visited that day by the Moroccan prince Moulay Rachid and Ahmed El Bouari, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests of the Kingdom of Morocco.

In 2025, Poland exported agricultural and food products worth €63 million to Morocco. The main exported products included: cereal and flour products (37%), animal feed (10%), dairy products (9%), animal intestines, bladders and stomachs (9%), baby food (7%), coffee and tea (6%) and confectionery products (5%).

The SIAM trade fair, held regularly in Meknes, is not only an excellent opportunity to establish business relationships with Moroccan partners. This trade fair is a well-established meeting venue for entrepreneurs from across Africa. The main sections of SIAM include: a showcase of the agricultural potential of Morocco’s 12 regions, food and processing, state-of-the-art technologies, a showcase of livestock and livestock management solutions, and international stands.
