Polish national stand at the FRESKON 2025 Fruit and Vegetable Fair in Greece

Between 10 and 12 April 2025, the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) exhibited  at the FRESKON Fruit and Vegetable Fair held in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the fourth time.

The stand co-organised by KOWR in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens and the Greek-Polish Chamber of Trade and Investment presented the products of 10 operators from the fruit and vegetable sector, promoting among others fresh apples, pears, berries, chokeberry and chokeberry products, lyophilised fruits, champignons, pepper and other vegetables as well as forest mushroom products.

The official opening of the national stand held on 10 April was attended by Michał Kołodziejczak – Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Konstantinos Tsiaras – Greek Minister of Rural Development and Food, Jan Szopiński – Deputy Director General of KOWR and Wojciech Ponikiewski – Chargé d’ affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens.

The FRESKON fair belongs to the largest events of the fruit and vegetable sector in the Balkans and Southern and Eastern Europe region. In addition, this fair attracts the great interest of the companies operating in this sector, including Polish. The last-year edition of FRESKON had attracted 267 exhibitors from 28 countries, while this-year edition was  attended by 295 exhibitors and the organisers expected 5,000 visitors and more than 2,600 business meetings to be held during the fair in Thessaloniki.

Fresh apples, champignons and tomatoes are among the most popular fruits and vegetables imported to Greece from Poland.
