On 12-14 November 2025, the FoodExpo Qazaqstan is taking place in Almaty – the most important food industry exhibition event in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) is once again organizing a national exhibition at this fair, where Polish food is consistently promoted under the ‘Poland tastes good’ slogan.
This year’s offer of Polish companies is even richer than during the FoodExpoQazaqstan 2024. This year, 16 companies are exhibiting at the national exhibition, twice as many as last year. Polish companies will present to potential Kazakhstan contractors products such as fresh fruit, frozen fruit and vegetables, fruit concentrates and juices, confectionery, milk powders, butter, processed cheeses, frozen poultry meat, groats, dried herbs and spice seeds, flavourings for the food industry, and semi-finished products for the dairy, confectionery and bakery industries.
The official opening of the national exhibition at FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2025 was carried out by Jacek Czerniak – Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Henryk Smolarz – Director General of the KOWR, Dariusz Szewczyk – Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Almaty, and Chief Veterinarian, Paweł Meyer.
On 11 November 2025, the day before the start of the fair, a store-check was organized with Polish businessmen at local retail chains Small and Galmart. During the three days of the fair, the exhibition delegation will also host culinary demonstrations with Polish chefs who will present typical Polish dishes to the visitors and are an attractive complement to the Polish companies’ export offer.
FoodExpo Qazaqstan is the most important trade fair for the food industry in Kazakhstan, taking place for the twenty-seventh time this year. In 2024, 383 exhibitors from 30 countries participated in the fair. In addition to Poland, Europe was represented by Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Latvia, Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary and Italy. The fair was visited by 7,391 visitors. A similar number of exhibitors and visitors is expected in 2025. FoodExpo Qazaqstan is the largest gathering of food industry representatives from Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.
Participation in FoodExpo Qazaqstan enables Polish companies to establish new business contacts with potential clients from Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries, to familiarize themselves with the food and beverage offer on this market, and to assess their prospects and opportunities compared to the competition.
In 2024, the value of Polish agri-food exports to Kazakhstan reached a total of EUR 123 million. The following products were most often exported from Poland to Kazakhstan: fruit (32%, mainly fresh apples and pears), vegetables and mushrooms and their processed products (18%), cereal and flour products (10%, mainly bread, rolls, pastries, cakes and biscuits), live animals (7%, excluding poultry), confectionery (7%), feed products (6%), water (5%, including mineral and carbonated water).
