On 16–18 November 2025, the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) organized a national exhibition booth for the second time at the PLMA (Private Label Trade Show) in Chicago – the largest private label trade show on the American continent.
The PLMA trade fairs, both its European edition held in Amsterdam and the American one in Chicago, have a strong reputation among food producers and have been of unwavering interest to Polish exporters for years. The KOWR increased the exhibition space compared to 2024 to allow more companies to present their products at this year’s national exhibit and thereby make the Polish offer even more diverse.
The products of 13 food companies are being promoted at the KOWR booth under the ‘Poland Tastes Good’ slogan. The products presented by Polish companies to potential American clients include: fruit and vegetable preserves, chocolates, pralines, cakes, fudge candy, gingerbread, lollipops and other sweets, salty snacks, bee honeys, nuts, grains, seeds, oils, dried herbs and herbal teas, coffee, pasta and meat and fish products.
The American edition of the PLMA (U.S. The Private Label Trade Show – Chicago) has been held for more than 40 years and is a good venue for making business contacts to enter the US and Canadian markets. The PLMA attracts traders, importers, representatives of major supermarkets, retail chains, discount stores, online shops and wholesalers. The previous edition attracted a record number of more than 1,800 exhibitors from 60 countries.
In 2024, the structure of Polish agri-food exports to the US was dominated by confectionery (18.3%), fish and fish products (16.6%), cereal and flour products (11.2%), pork and pork products (10.4%), vegetable products (7.6%), feed products (4.1%), cereals (3.8%), coffee and tea (3.8%), and spirits (3.1%). In total, we exported EUR 787 million worth of agri-food goods to the US in 2024, and the US market was the third-largest importer of our food among non-EU countries (apart from the UK and Ukraine).
