Polish national stand once again at the Vietfood & Beverage fair

On 7-9 August 2025, the National Agricultural Support Centre (KOWR) is once again setting up a shared stand with Polish food companies at the Vietfood & Beverage Fair in Ho Chi Minh City one of the most important food industry exhibitions in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Polish food has been present at the Vietfood & Beverage fair in Ho Chi Minh City under the banner ‘Poland tastes good’ since 2016. In this year’s edition of the fair, 17 companies will present their products at the national stand organised by the KOWR, encouraging Vietnamese clients to become interested in Polish products such as poultry and pork meat, dry smoked pork sausage and other sausages, and other meat products, processed cheeses, powdered milk, fish products, NFC juices, fruit syrups, vodkas, groats, dried vegetables, herbs and spice seeds, as well as sweets (pralines, chocolates, candies, bars, lollipops, cookies and doughnuts).

The KOWR delegation at the 2025 Vietfood & Beverage fair and the events surrounding the fair is headed by Jan Szopiński, Deputy Director General of the KOWR. On the first day of the fair, the national stand was also visited by Ms Joanna Skoczek, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Ms Bà Lý Kim Chi, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Chamber of Commerce and President of the Ho Chi Minh City Food Industry Association.

During the 3 days of the fair, Polish food and cuisine are also promoted at the stand during culinary demonstrations by Polish chefs. Visitors to the national stand can try, among other things, pierogis in various variations, beef tartar steak, herring, beetroot and goat’s cheese tartar steak, stuffed duck with cranberries and apple, beef roulades in hunter’s sauce, Silesian dumplings, cream cakes with Kashubian strawberries and Vistula cherries, and apple pie from Grójec apples.

In addition, on 6 August 2025, the day before the fair, representatives of the companies sharing the exhibition stand with the KOWR had the opportunity to participate in visits to 3 local retail store chains with imported products on offer (Lotte Vietnam, WinMart and Tops Market), combined with meetings with their representatives. The visits were organised in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City.

Held for the 29th time, the Vietfood & Beverage fair in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the largest food and beverage trade fairs in Vietnam. The Propack Vietnam trade fair is held in parallel to the food and beverage fair, attracting companies from the processing, packaging, food production equipment and technology industries. During this year’s edition of that fair, the organisers are expecting 900 exhibitors from 20 countries and 25,000 visitors in the 20,000 square meter exhibition space.

Vietnam is Poland’s key agri-food trade partner among the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and is a promising export market for Polish food. Currently, Poland’s exports to Vietnam are dominated by animal products: poultry, pork, fish and dairy. The growing middle class, the increasingly affluent population in this country of 101 million people, as well as changing consumer trends and greater interest in quality and niche products create opportunities for Polish producers across the food sector. In 2024, Poland’s agri-food exports to Vietnam amounted to EUR 193 million and there is potential for further growth.
