Polish national stand for the second time at the Espacio Food Service trade fair in Chile

30 September 2025 marked the start of the 13th edition of the three-day Espacio Food Service food trade fair in Santiago de Chile, at which the NASC is organising a national stand for the second time.

Together with the NASC, 11 entrepreneurs looking for prospective business contacts in the Chilean market and other South American countries are exhibiting under the Poland tastes good banner in the Chilean capital until 2 October this year. This year, Polish food and beverage manufacturers and exporters are promoting, among other product categories, cheeses, dairy powders, cereal and breakfast products, frozen fruit and vegetables, flour and starch products, candy, pralines, fudge candy, cakes and other sweets, pasta, ready meals, semi-finished products for the confectionery and dairy industries and protein chips.

Prior to the start of the trade fair, on 29 September 2025, representatives of Polish companies had the opportunity to take part in B2B talks with local customers interested in importing Polish food and a visit to the local retail chain Lider, part of the Walmart group.

The Espacio Food Service fair is the largest food industry exhibition event in Chile. The trade fair organisers are expecting 37,000 visitors. This trade fair is an excellent opportunity to establish new business contacts, to learn about market trends and novelties in the food industry in Chile and other South American countries, as well as to promote Polish products in Chile and other countries in the region.

Although Chile is a well-known producer and exporter of many food products, there is also room in the country’s market for imported products, including from Poland, as trade figures also confirm. In 2024, Chile was the second most important export market for Polish food in South America after Brazil. Last year, we exported over EUR 59 million worth of agri-food goods to Chile, including sugar syrups (34%), waters and beverages (24%), coffees and teas (11%), processed cereal and flour products (8%) and confectionery products (6%).
