It is the second time the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) exhibits in Amsterdam at the world largest private label fair “World of Private Label” held on 20-21 May 2025.
The national stand organised by KOWR under the “Poland tastes good” brand promotes the offer of 19 food and beverage producers. The Polish companies present the prospects from the Netherlands and other countries with among others: NFC juices, fruit juices and syrups, functional drinks, ciders, fruit and vegetable products, lyophilised fruits, confectionary (cookies, fudges, chocolates and pralines), protein snacks, ice-cream powders, meat products, breakfast products, pastas, flours, grain and seeds for the bakery sector, herbs and herbal teas, oils, honeys and meads as well as alcoholic beverages (vodkas, liqueurs and distillates).
The Netherlands is the third most important importer of the Polish agri-food products in the European Union. In 2024, the sales on this market reached EUR 3 billion, following only Germany and France. The products most commonly imported from Poland included: poultry (13%), red meat, mostly beef (10%), tobacco products (7%), confectionery products (6%), grain (5%), milk products, mostly butter, cheeses and quarks (5%), vegetables, including mushroom and mushroom products (5%), cereal and flour products (5%), fruits and fruit products (5%).
The PLMA fairs in Amsterdam, organised since 1986, have been enjoying an excellent reputation among the food sector companies and also attracting continuous interest of the Polish food exporters for years. The two-day event attracts the traders, importers, representatives of the largest supermarkets, retail chains, discount stores, on-line stores and wholesales. PLMA in Amsterdam is a must-be in the calendar of exporters producing their goods under the private labels of the retail chains from different countries.
According to the organisers, this year’s edition gathered more than 3,100 exhibitors from 70 countries in 9 halls dedicated to food. Poland belongs to 40 leading countries exhibiting at the Amsterdam fair. The visitors of PLMA “World of Private Label” may enjoy a diversified product range and innovations in the food sector, including of the Polish companies.
