Polish sweets and snacks conquer Cologne at the ISM Cologne 2026 fair

For the sixth time, the National Agricultural Support Centre (KOWR) is organising a national stand at ISM Cologne, the world’s largest trade fair for sweets and snacks. Polish manufacturers are presenting their products in Cologne for four days, from 1 to 4 February 2026.

This year, sweets and snacks from 28 companies are being promoted under the banner ‘Poland tastes good’. Visitors to the Cologne fair can find the following products at the Polish stand: cakes, chocolates, pralines, fudges, caramels, lollipops, ice cream, rice wafers, freeze-dried fruit and vegetables, chocolate-covered fruit and nuts, chips, sticks, crisps, breakfast products, bars, puddings, jellies and other desserts, cake mixes, gluten-free products, drinks, dry smoked pork sausages and meat snacks.

Visitors to the fair can taste not only samples of products made available by our producers, but also desserts, dishes and sweet snacks prepared by Polish chefs, such as traditional Polish gingerbread, apple pie, croissants with rose jam, shortcakes, mini doughnuts, cocoa sponge and cream cake, cheesecake, apple fritters and sweet pierogi.

Held annually, ISM Cologne is the most prestigious exhibition event in the confectionery and snacks industry, attracting numerous exhibitors and visitors from Germany, Europe and other continents. The Cologne trade fair attracts as visitors exclusively representatives of the trade, primarily representatives of trade associations, supermarkets and retail chains, confectioneries, cafés, bakeries, stores, online food stores, importers and distributors. The segments that are current dominant at the fair are chocolates and chocolate products, confectionery containing sugar, biscuits, snacks, breakfast products, natural sweets, ice cream and frozen products. Polish sweets and snack producers with their diverse range of products fit well into this profile.

Exports of confectionery products from Poland reached EUR 3.7 billion in 2024. The main export destination for Polish confectionery products was EU countries, to which confectionery worth EUR 2.5 billion was sold. Among the EU countries, Germany was the leading export destination. Sales to the German market reached EUR 849 million (23% of the total value of confectionery exports).
