The FHA Food & Beverage fair in Singapore belongs to the largest and most important food fairs in the Southern and Eastern Asia. Singapore is an attractive market for export of the Polish food of a significant import capacity. Singapore, with population exceeding 5 million, imports more than 90 % of food consumed in this country. Due to diversification of the sources of supplies, food on the Singaporean market has been imported from more than 180 countries in the world. Singapore acts also as an important re-export centre in the Southern and Eastern Asia region and the business gate to the other ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries.
In 2024, the value of the Polish agri-food export to Singapore amounted to EUR 30 million. The greatest share was recorded in the following product categories: feed products (32%), dairy products (13%), cereal and flour products (10%), pork meat and offal (8%), confectionery (6%) and eggs (5%), largely consumed by Singapore.
